Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and surgical needs. This role requires excellent clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, including administering medications, performing wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
Assessment and Documentation:Conduct patient assessments, document findings accurately, and report changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
Collaboration:Work collaboratively with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Patient Education:Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-operative care, ensuring they understand and can follow care instructions.
Clinical Skills:Perform various clinical tasks such as inserting catheters, starting IVs, and drawing blood, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
Support Services:Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients as needed.
Compliance:Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid state license2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. IV certification upon hire (state specific)
